speeding ticket question

I got a speeding ticket the other day... I've never gotten one in Houston, so forgive me if the answer is obvious and I'm just dumb.

I was just going to pay the ticket and do defensive driving or whatever, but I was complaining about the ticket to a friend of mine and commenting on how annoyed I was that they spelled my name wrong on the ticket [my name isn't difficult to spell but people constantly spell it wrong and it drives me CRAZY] and my friend told me if there's an error on the ticket, they automatically dismiss it. My name wasn't the only thing wrong, he also put my car is black, which it's not.... it's blue. So that's two straight up facts that are wrong on the ticket.

Is it true that's grounds for ticket dismissal? I don't want to pay it if it can get dismissed. If that IS true, what do I do? Is there something I can do prior to the court date written on the ticket or do I just show up for my court date, show them the ticket, and they'll dismiss it right there? A bunch of lawyers are sending me mail saying they'll represent me, but I frankly don't have enough money to pay for a lawyer. Hopefully someone here will know more than me. Thank youuuu!

It might be dismissed because of the inaccuracies, but more than likely it will not. They City of Houston as well as Harris County are on rampages right now, with it being the first of the year, to make as much $$ and write as many tickets as possible. If you haven't already noticed, there are 3x the amount of officers normally seen on the streets. It has gotten so that every few miles you see a cruiser with someone pulled over, all over the city...
